The AirPods 4 (4th generation, 2024) represent a major leap for Apple’s mainstream earbuds. The redesigned open-ear fit was developed using 3D scanning and laser topography of millions of ears to create Apple’s most comfortable AirPods ever.
All models feature the H2 chip and Bluetooth 5.3, enabling features like Personalized Spatial Audio, Voice Isolation for clearer calls, and head-gesture Siri interactions.
The new force sensor lets users control playback and calls with a simple squeeze, no need to touch your device.
For the first time, standard AirPods include ANC – with support for Transparency Mode, Adaptive Audio, and Conversation Awareness that auto-lowers media volume when you speak.
Battery life is up to 6 hours without ANC and about 5 hours with ANC. The USB‑C case is over 10% smaller than the AirPods 3 case and provides around 30 hours of total listening time.
The case supports fast charging, Qi wireless, and even Apple Watch charging, and includes a built-in speaker to help locate your AirPods via Find My.
With an IP54 rating, they’re dust-, sweat-, and water-resistant for workouts and light rain.
